Make Your Own Dubstep – My Compete and Honest Review of DUBturbo

Hello, Michael here again.

I’d like to provide a review of my favorite dubstep creation software called DUBturbo. A few posts back I had mentioned my experience with Fruity Loops and Ableton, but after deciding to produce dubstep music mainly I began looking for a new piece of software created specifically to make your own dubstep.

Note: This post is my review of DUBturbo. Click here if you are looking for the main DUBturbo website.

The reason I’m writing this review is because when I was looking for different software to create dubstep music I couldn’t find any good honest reviews of many products out there. I figured I would quickly write one up for anyone that is in the same position that I was.

I will be going over both the positive and negative aspects of the software. If you’re looking for a one-sided review this probably isn’t the post for you.

So if you’ve never heard of DUBturbo before now I’ll give you a brief explanation. DUBturbo is a complete software package that lets you create real beats right out of the box. There is a ton of stuff included like a dt sequencer, drum machine panel, 4-octave sampling keyboard, 4 premium sample packs, and best of all a great set of training videos for learning to use this software.

If you’re still reading this I’m guessing that by now you’re wondering “How well does it perform?” I can say without a doubt that it is among the easiest and most efficient software I’ve run across.

Like I said in my website introduction video it doesn’t matter if you’re totally new to creating dubstep music because this software makes it really easy. I will add some of the music I’ve created using it in the near future so you can see hear the proof for yourself.

Most other beat making software, except for the really expensive production stuff, provide poor samples that are actually made from .mp3 files. Your final output ends up being third generation, compressed twice and it ends up sounding just horrible. The samples that DUBturbo provides are high quality so your music always sounds good. Here’s my list of the good and the bad:

DUBturbo – The Good

Sequencer – It’s really easy to draw in or trigger sounds using efficient keyboard shorts. You can change sounds and patterns really quickly and there are literally thousands of different sounds and drums included in the package. Your files will be exported in the industry standard .wav format.

Drum Machine Panel – Every drum pad has a keyboard trigger assigned to it so making drum beats is crazy easy. It comes with more than 40 drum kits that you can change on the fly, and you have the option of exporting just the drums or the full tracks.

Sampling Keyboard – There is no need to buy a midi controller if you buy this software. You can play pianos, saxophones, bass, bells, and a ton of other instruments and samples just by using your keyboard. There’s no load time when you’re selecting your instruments so you can change anytime you want. It’ll also auto quantize your beats so that everything fits together perfectly.

Customer Service & Training – You’ll get access to training videos which help you start producing dubstep beats right away after purchase and you get free premium updates whenever they update their kit. Best of all, if you don’t like the software there is a guaranteed 60 day refund policy – no questions asked.

DUBturbo – The Bad

Beat Monetization Services – DUBturbo is a great piece of software. That being said, they offer ways to monetize your dubstep beats and will put them on their roster for sale. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I just prefer to market my own beats. There are better ways to do that than with DUBturbo.

Download Only – Personally I have not bought software that came packaged with an actual DVD in years; however, I do like having that option. With DUBturbo, you get instant access to download the software but I have not seen an option if you want to purchase a hard copy.

Summing Up DUBturbo

If you want to make your own beats than I highly suggest checking out DUBturbo. When I get a chance to upload some of my creations I will post them on this blog so that you can hear how great you can easily make beats. Instead of spending hundreds or thousands of dollars for other dubstep creation software programs, you only have to spend $40 and if you don’t like the software, you can return it anytime within 60 days for a full refund. It’s definitely a one of a kind software that’s proven to let even beginners get started easily.

So you really have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. I first bought the original DUBturbo 1.0 which was very good to begin with, but with their newest DUBturbo 2.0 release they made everything even easier.

If you pick it up, please drop me a comment below and let me know what you thought!

Good luck!

Hi guys – My name is Michael from make-your-own-dubstep.com and I just wanted to give you a quick introduction to the website and give a brief explanation as to what I hope to accomplish.

I’ve been making electronic music for years. Like many of you I’ve spent a lot of my time and a lot of my money searching for the right software that I need.

Two of the main ones I used for 3 or 4 years each probably were Fruity Loops and Ableton; both great pieces of software. A little bit on the pricey side especially if you’re just getting started but they can definitely do great things.

If you’ve already read my first blog post you know I’ve been producing mainly dubstep lately. Making dubstep can require a lot of knowledge especially if you don’t have the right tools for it which is why I wanted to introduce you to my favorite software which is called DUBturbo.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never made beats before or if you’ve never touched a sequencer in your life because this software makes everything so incredibly easy. They just released version 2.0 and it’s on sale right now for $40.

The reason I made this video is because I wanted to let you know that I am a real person. I worry about wasting my money just like everyone else and I’m always careful where I spend my money, but this software is the real deal. Make sure to check it out because it will make your music creation process much easier.

Anyways that’s all I got for right now so please stay tuned and I’ll make sure to keep you all updated on my progress.

Thanks, take care.

Making Your Own Dubstep – My Journey

Making Your Own Dubstep – My Journey

The past few years my music playlists, both as a dj and as a music connoisseur, have consisted of almost nothing but dubstep music. My goal for this blog is to share some of the ups-and-downs I have encountered on my journey to learn how to make dubstep music. I would also like to share my experience with various dubstep creation software I have experimented with over the years. Lots of software can be expensive, but not all software for creating dubstep is created equal.

I still remember the first time I tried Fruity Loops. This was way back in the day, about a year after the first release of their electronic music software package. A-friend-of-a-friend had managed to scrape together the money to pick it up (we were still pretty young at the time) and we sat at his computer for hours creating sweet beats. We did this for weeks until I was finally convinced to buy my own copy.

I used Fruity Loops for a few years until my music taste began to change. When my taste changed, so did the requirements for the music creation software I needed. My electronic music mentor introduced me to another electronic music creator software called Ableton, and it was perfect for what I needed. At this time I had been steadily growing my reputation as a dj and had begun to pick up more gigs – which was great because Ableton was EXPENSIVE! It did do everything I needed it to do though, and I used it up until a year ago when I decided to take making my own dubstep beats more seriously.

The software I ended up buying was called DUBturbo and it was the best decision I could have made. If you want to check it out just click here. I will be providing my honest and detailed review of this dubstep creation software in the very near future.

Until then, take care!
